Paws for Life’s sponsorship program is for individuals and businesses that want to make a bigger impact with their donation dollars.

$500: Buddy Bundle

Approximately 55,000 healthy dogs and cats are killed in Michigan animal shelters every year. Your sponsorship will help reduce shelter killing and give a homeless pet a loving family.

This donation amount covers the basic needs for a healthy dog or cat to be transferred out of a local shelter and to receive necessary, minimal medical care and pet care supplies for up to two months in foster care.

Minimal medical care includes spay/neuter surgery, DHLPP/FVRCP vaccinations, heartworm test and monthly preventative (dogs) or FIV/FeLV test (cats), fecal test, rabies vaccination and flea/tick monthly preventative.

Pet care supplies include two months of pet food, treats, bedding, toys, dishes and grooming supplies. Additionally, for dogs, it includes collar, leash, harness, ID tag and crate; for cats, it includes litter, litter box, scooper and cat scratcher/condo/tower.

As a Buddy Bundle sponsor, you will receive:

$1,000: Have A Heart

Nearly 100% of dogs who do not receive monthly heartworm prevention and who are bitten by an infected mosquito become sick with heartworm, a deadly, but preventable disease. Left untreated, the average lifespan is 5-7 years in dogs. Your Have A Heart sponsorship will make the difference between life and death.

This donation amount will fund the heartworm treatment of a special dog in our rescue program. Heartworm is a huge problem for homeless dogs in Michigan and all dogs must test heartworm negative before they can be adopted into a loving home.

As a Have a Heart sponsor, you will receive:

$1,500: Medical Miracles

Sick and injured pets are killed every day due to the increasing costs of veterinary care. When owners cannot afford diagnoses and treatments, animals are surrendered to already overflowing animal shelters that can't afford them either.

Your sponsorship will mend an injury or treat a sick pet, giving him or her a second chance at life.

This donation amount will fund the diagnosis and medical care for very ill or injured pets, including much needed surgeries, hospitalizations and/or treatments. Pets requiring major surgeries, such as ACL repairs, amputations or eye surgeries due to cruelty and neglect, animal attacks or car accidents, have no chance at adoption without generous support from friends like you.

$2,000: Teacher's Pet

Nearly half of the pets that are killed in shelters are young animals owned for less than one year and relinquished because of unaddressed behavior problems.

Your sponsorship will help address this problem through the use of certified behavior trainers, which can and will save a pet’s life.

This donation amount will help fund much needed behavior modification and training programs, allowing us to rescue more behaviorally challenged pets from local shelters.

Whether the pet needs to learn basic obedience commands, receive house training/litter box training, acquire some table manners or improve social skills, we can help thanks to your generosity.
